Chelsea could still sign a new winger before the transfer window closes, with Juventus’ Federico Chiesa one name that they are currently being linked with.
Chelsea have failed in their quest to bring in a new wide man so far this summer.
They have, of course, agreed a deal with Palmeiras for Estevao Willian. However, the Brazilian cannot officially join the club until he turns 18.
Chiesa would obviously be free to move to west London now, and it has been reported that Chelsea have already spoken to Chiesa’s agent.
Amid this talk about Chelsea and Chiesa, fans have taken to X to share whether they would take him at their club or not.

Chelsea fans send board message about Federico Chiesa
While Chiesa was able to make 37 appearances in all competitions last season, he has had quite a few injury problems since arriving at Juventus.
Nevertheless, plenty of Chelsea supporters would still welcome the Italian to Stamford Bridge.
“Bring me Chiesa & [Victor] Osimhen,” One Chelsea fan on X wrote.
Another Chelsea supporter said: “Chiesa and Osimhen to end the window. I’d be very happy with the window as a whole ngl.”
Another posted: “To tell you how good Chiesa is, I will pick him over current Nico Williams, 11 times out of 10.”
One other Chelsea fan stated: “I want Chiesa at Chelsea.”
And another wrote: “I’m on cloud 9. There’s a possibility that my dream signing for Chelsea will become a reality. I’m saying this again, Chiesa will automatically make us title contenders.”
If Chelsea want to sign Chiesa this summer, then they may have to beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur to his signature. Tottenham are also looking at Chiesa right now.
Federico Chiesa’s stats
Last season, across the 37 games he played, Chiesa scored 10 goals and provided three assists. It is not an incredible return, but the 26-year-old remains a dangerous attacker.
As per FBref, Chiesa has averaged 4.79 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes over the last year, putting him in the 99th percentile among forwards. The Italy international makes things happen.
He has also averaged 4.55 progressive carries and 1.43 successful take-ons per 90 minutes over the same period of time.
Ultimately, even if Chiesa did not have the best goalscoring season last term, he could still be a good addition to Enzo Maresca‘s squad this summer.
