Reports have claimed that sources in Italy believe one star player would actually be open to a move to Chelsea.

According to The Telegraph, they believe Napoli striker Victor Osimhen would consider the transfer if the Blues make what is likely to be a club record deal.

Osimhen has been frequently linked as Chelsea’s main target for a striker, whether that addition be in January or the end of the season.

He is still amongst the goals this season, although it looks as if the relationship between the club and player looks set to come to an ugly ending.

It looks on the cards that he will leave at some point in 2024, although the signing looks unlikely in January due to Napoli’s unlikeliness to do business in the middle of the season.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old too, with the two Premier League sides seemingly coming across the same targets again.

Ivan Toney is another name linked with a move to both clubs, with him seemingly doing whatever he can to get out of Brentford and move to a side with higher prospects.

However, it does feel as if Osimhen is the one the Blues are really pushing for. It has been previously reported that he is Mauricio Pochettino’s number one target.

A willingness to join the club may not surprise some, with the player linked to the club through his admiration for club legend Didier Drogba.

It feels as if there is not enough firepower in the current options at the club are not enough to take them to where they want to be, with Nicolas Jackson and Armando Broja certainly the most upgradeable part of the side.
