Journalist Matt Law has now claimed that Mauricio Pochettino has a firm idea in his mind that Victor Osimhen is his number one transfer target at Chelsea right now.
He told the ‘London is Blue’ podcast that while the manager has an appreciation for superstar Kylian Mbappe, it is not likely that the Blues complete a deal to sign him in the coming months.
It has been widely reported that a striker is on the radar at Stamford Bridge in order to put what they would think is the finishing touches on an already stellar side.

In the opening stages of the season, goals had still been a little hard to come by, with a lot of the blame lying at the door of Nicolas Jackson.
However, the Blues have scored eight in their last two games against Tottenham and Manchester City. Jackson has helped himself to four of those.
Nevertheless, many supporters at Stamford Bridge have still been calling for the side to bring in a truly elite striker to tie it all together up there.
Osimhen is Pochettino’s first choice
Law has reported that Pochettino is now really interested in one of those, claiming Osimhen is his number one target.
He said: “Mauricio Pochettino absolutely loves Kylian Mbappé, but talking realistically, Victor Osimhen is his first choice. A summer move is more likely than a move in January. “
The Napoli striker looks certain to leave the club at the end of the season, after being mistreated by them frequently this year.
This is despite his superstar performances for them, firing them to the Serie A title last season.
The 24-year-old would certainly not be cheap, and therefore could see the Blues yet again smash their transfer record to bring him in.
