Stan Collymore has urged Chelsea to go nowhere near signing Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
Brazilian superstar Neymar, 31, is reportedly attracting interest from the Blues.
90min claimed earlier this week that Chelsea had contacted PSG to enquire about his availability. Also, they said that Blues co-owner Todd Boehly wants to make a high-profile signing like him and he’s ‘intrigued’ by a potential deal.
In addition, Foot Mercato reports that Boehly has now been in contact with Neymar’s agents to sound out a possible transfer.
He’s scored 17 goals in just 28 games so far this campaign, but he’s being linked with a move away from the French giants.

Pundit Stan Collymore is convinced Neymar would be the totally wrong kind of signing for Chelsea.
“Chelsea definitely don’t need him (Neymar),” Collymore told CaughtOffside.
“I think Neymar is a fantastic player but joining Chelsea would be an awful move in my opinion because the Blues’ project is to build for the future and if Neymar were to come to Stamford Bridge, you could just imagine much of Graham Potter’s time in front of the media would be taken up by questions on the Brazilian. That’s the last thing he would need, but it’d also be the last thing any of the other players need.
“Not only that, but Neymar’s antics are at times reminiscent of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and look how that one’s turned out, so just steer clear, Chelsea.”

There’s no hiding from the fact Neymar is a very special player. If he’s in the mood, the forward is impossible for defenders to face 1v1.
His goal record is the kind of thing Chelsea would love at Stamford Bridge. He’s scored 292 goals in 492 first-team club appearances. The Brazilian has 77 goals in 124 international caps, too.
However, we agree with Collymore that there’s simply too much baggage that would come with bringing Neymar to the Premier League for the first time in his career.
Chelsea’s focus for the summer needs to be signing a traditional centre-forward that can succeed in the No.9 position. As for creative players, Joao Felix should be a priority over someone like Neymar.
