David Seaman has now claimed that he cannot believe Raheem Sterling has not been named in the recent England squad by Gareth Southgate.
He took to the ‘Seaman Says’ podcast to claim that the winger has been in fine form in recent weeks, helping Chelsea get back to winning ways.
Last Saturday was a prime example of the turn of form Sterling has found since the season began. He was involved in all four goals in the 4-1 win over Burnley.

His pace was often too much for the Clarets’ defence, shown when he won the penalty that eventually put the Blues in the lead.
However, for the second consecutive time this season, his form has not been enough for Southgate to consider selecting him to represent his country again.
Seaman confused at Sterling treatment
This decision baffled many, with Seaman claiming he doesn’t understand the logic behind not taking the 28-year-old.
He said: “What about Sterling. I don’t get him not being in the squad. He’s been brilliant for Chelsea the last three of four games but apparently he was decent before that but just missing chances.

“Every time I see him he’s taking players on, assisting, scoring. I just find that a bit strange. But Chelsea are back, they are definitely back!”
Chelsea fans will likely be far more concerned with one of their star players remaining clear of injuries in the off period.
With the huge Premier League game coming up against Arsenal after the international break, Sterling will almost certainly be called upon to start by Mauricio Pochettino in attack.
