As the dust settles on the recent summer transfer window, supporters of Chelsea can look back on what was another busy time for the Blues.

Deadline day in particular saw the club working hard to give Enzo Maresca the required backing to see him succeed this summer.

With all the players coming in, there was even more attention being given to seeing players leave the club, even if it was only on loan.

After banishing him from the first team setup, the Blues found a move for Trevoh Chalobah to head to Crystal Palace on loan for the rest of the campaign.

Another exiled player they found a new home for was Raheem Sterling, with him waiting patiently to make his Arsenal debut.

Scott Minto stunned at Chelsea and Raheem Sterling situation

Chelsea were forced to wait until the very end of the window for there to be any real interest in his services, and will be paying a significant portion of his wages to feature for a rival.

Pundit Scott Minto has stated that he has been left stunned that Chelsea thought this was a good piece of business to do.

He told TalkSPORT: “That is ridiculous, I mean, it’s absolutely ridiculous. How can someone not be good enough for Chelsea, by the way, he hasn’t been great for Chelsea, but suddenly you have got Arsenal willing to take him on.

“And actually from a financial point of view, 30% of the wages. I mean, it’s just, it beggars belief.”

Chelsea spend big on attackers

Chelsea put a lot of work into strengthening their attacking options over the summer in an attempt to be set to take on any side they come up against.

Maresca has already hinted that he believes Jadon Sancho can perform well against low block sides, while the pace of Pedro Neto would suit a counter attacking side well.

Joao Felix is also waiting patiently for his first start of his second spell at the club, after impressing greatly for Portugal on international duty.
