Crystal Palace have reportedly just agreed to sign a Chelsea player on loan in the final hours of the summer transfer window.
It’s been claimed that Premier League side Crystal Palace are on the verge of signing a Chelsea individual on a temporary basis.
Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas shared via Sky Sports earlier on Friday’s deadline day that Crystal Palace were considering a swoop for Trevoh Chalobah. Elsewhere, LondonWorld reported that Wolverhampton Wanderers made a late enquiry for Trevoh Chalobah.
Now, it looks like Trevoh Chalobah will be staying in London and making the short trip to Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace agree Trevoh Chalobah transfer
According to The Athletic, Palace have reached an agreement to sign Chelsea’s Chalobah on a season-long loan.
It is explained that the 25-year-old central defender is set to undergo a medical on Friday night before completing his loan transfer to the Eagles.
The report adds that it’s a straight loan deal for the Blues centre-half, which doesn’t include an obligation to buy. Palace have paid an undisclosed fee for him, though.

Great news for Trevoh Chalobah
It’s been widely covered that Chalobah is one of many Chelsea players exiled from the senior group and excluded from Enzo Maresca’s plans this season. Therefore, he would be stuck without any first-team football if he stays put in this transfer window.
Instead, he’s set to secure a loan transfer to Palace, which should be great for both him and them.
Palace sold star centre-half Joachim Andersen to Fulham earlier in this window, so Chalobah should be optimistic that he can go to Selhurst Park and break into the starting line-up.
