Gabby Agbonlahor insists Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar would walk into Chelsea’s starting line-up right now.
Brazilian star Neymar, who’s now 31, has been linked with a potential move to Stamford Bridge during this summer transfer window.
Journalist Dean Jones told GiveMeSport this week that Chelsea could end up making a move to sign Neymar following the injury to Blues forward Christopher Nkunku.
The Evening Standard said that French giants PSG may be willing to sell Neymar for any bids between £60million and £70million. However, the report added that Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino doesn’t approve of his side signing the 31-year-old after previously coaching him in Paris.

TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor thinks it’s madness that some Chelsea supporters don’t like the idea of Neymar at Stamford Bridge. In fact, he’s adamant he would go straight into the starting XI.
“Can we put some respect on Neymar’s name, please?” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.
“… He’s bored. He’s obviously bored at PSG. It’s happening to all the players who go there. He’s got too much power there.
“Put Neymar in a team with a manager that can handle him, a team in La Liga or the Premier League, and he would do a job. He would walk into most Premier League teams. Let’s have it right.
“For people to say Chelsea shouldn’t have him, he would walk into that Chelsea front three.”

Neymar certainly doesn’t fit into the profile of signing Chelsea have moved towards in the past 18 months, so we’re totally fine if Pochettino wants to overlook him.
Of course, nobody is going to deny the South American left-winger can be unplayable on his day. Could he turn it on and do it in the Premier League every week, though?
The Blues do still have some exciting forwards in their ranks even without Nkunku for the immediate future.
We would like to see Mykhailo Mudryk, who looked very sharp in pre-season, emerge as a key player in Pochettino’s side.
