Darren Bent is confident that Mauricio Pochettino is the right manager to get the best out of Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk this season.
Mauricio Pochettino, 51, took charge of his first game as Blues head coach this Sunday in the 1-1 Premier League draw at home to Liverpool.
Mykhailo Mudryk was benched for the Premier League opener at the weekend, but he did threaten with a lively cameo performance during the second-half.
So, will the 22-year-old be promoted to the starting line-up for the next game away to West Ham this Sunday?

TalkSPORT pundit Bent has suggested that Chelsea fans will get to see the best from Mudryk in the future under Pochettino’s guidance.
When discussing Mudryk on talkSPORT, Bent said: “I don’t mind him, but he’s just a little bit 100mph. He had the opportunity: he goes through, goes around the goalkeeper, but his touch is too big. That is just him at the minute. I think Pochettino will start to get the best out of him.”
Mudryk is a man with a point to prove during his second season in Chelsea colours.
The left-winger has the kind of explosive pace that no defender can cope with, so he needs a manager to help piece all his raw talents together. Hopefully, Pochettino is just the man to do that!
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink recently pointed out that Mudryk has returned during the pre-season looking stronger, as quoted by talkSPORT.
He’s now had more time to settle into his environment in west London after a quiet start, which is why many feel it’s only a matter of time before it clicks together on the pitch.
We predicted Pochettino is going to prefer a 4-2-3-1 system as the season progress, albeit he threw a real surprise by playing a back three on the opening day. Mudryk will benefit a lot more when conventional wingers are deployed.
