The club Romelu Lukaku wants to leave Chelsea for at the end of this season

Reports have shared where Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku wants to play his football next season.

The Belgian is currently set to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of this season when his loan spell in Serie A comes to an end.

Mauricio Pochettino hinted that there was definitely a world where Lukaku could end up being reintegrated into a Chelsea squad that has at times been missing a regular goalscorer.

Nicolas Jackson has led the line this season for the Blues, and even though he has no doubt impressed on the whole, there have certainly been moments where supporters have cried out for a more natural finisher.

Lukaku has certainly shown that in periods this season, with his performances in the Europa League in particular capturing the attention of Blues fans.

Lukaku wants move to Roma

For the minority that were still hoping that there could be a future for the forward at Stamford Bridge, they will not be pleased by the latest reports from 90min that suggest he wants to be elsewhere at the end of the season.

It goes on to say that his desire is to play for Roma after his loan there comes to an end this season, with them enjoying a successful season especially since Jose Mourinho was sacked.

Chelsea want a new striker

As far as the position goes in West London, there is still talk that the club are looking to sign a new striker at the end of the season.

The likes of Victor Osimhen and Viktor Gyokeres have been linked with the switch, and even reports over a swap deal with Lukaku has been discussed with the former.

However, some supporters will no doubt have seen the upturn in displays from Jackson in recent weeks that suggests he can continue to play a key role in the project at Stamford Bridge.
