Fabrizio Romano has claimed that a deal is still more than possible for Chelsea to sign Moises Caicedo this summer.
He told his YouTube channel that negotiations have not stopped up to now between the Blues and Brighton over a deal.
Supporters will likely be beginning to get sick of the Caicedo saga dragging out to this extent, with them going through a similar scenario just a few months ago.

The attempts to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica took the entire month of January to complete. He eventually signed his Chelsea contract with around three minutes of the transfer window to go.
It does look as though any move for the Ecuador international, who Chris Sutton described as ‘unbelievable’ may now take place at a similar time, with the club hitting a roadblock as far as negotiations go up to now.
Caicedo deal still on
However, Romano has claimed that contrary to other reports, the deal being off right now is simply not true.
He said: “This confirms the relationship between Chelsea and Brighton is very good, despite Brighton turning down bids for Caicedo. This is part of football. But, they are still having direct relationship with Chelsea.

“So, deal on for Robert Sanchez, but also for Moises Caicedo. I always told you – Chelsea are working on Caicedo, so reports of a deal being off, and so calma, the deal is absolutely on.”
With reports that the Ecuador international is still not imminently arriving, attention has potentially turned to a number of other targets.
It remains to be seen whether the club will make a late move for Romeo Lavia, despite Liverpool looking to close in on that deal.
