Chelsea supporters were in high spirits last night despite the lowered importance that came with their final group game of the Conference League.

The Blues hosted Irish opposition for the first time in their history for a competitive fixture as they welcomed Shamrock Rovers, who were unbeaten in the competition before Chelsea’s 5-1 win last night.

Marc Guiu stole all the headlines for himself last night with a first half hat-trick, seeing him become the top scorer in the competition despite only being a teenager.

Enzo Maresca admitted Guiu had not been so happy recently due to his lack of minutes for the first team. It has proven a difficult task breaking into the first team after the strong campaigns of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku.

Chelsea fans poke fun at Tottenham during win over Shamrock Rovers

The Blues have hardly broken a sweat at any point in their European campaign so far, finishing the group stages top with a perfect record.

Whilst playing lower-level opposition has been great for allowing academy stars to make their first appearances for the club, it is expected that the likes of Cole Palmer will be brought into the squad for the knockout portion.

The ease at which Chelsea dismantled their opponents last night was always going to see supporters inside Stamford Bridge in a good mood, and they were in the mood to poke some fun at one of their closest rivals.

Blues fans could be heard mocking Tottenham by comparing them to their opponents, with Chelsea also picking up a win against them recently.

What’s next for Chelsea in the Conference League?

With the Blues already coasting their way into the Round of 16 of the Conference League, it is currently unknown exactly who they will play in the next round.

However, the Blues know the four sides they could play, and this includes two sides they have already overcome in this competition.

The Blues beat Gent 4-2 to get their campaign underway, whilst picked up arguably their most impressive win of the competition away from home against Heidenheim.
