Enzo Maresca has so far got off to a perfect start in the Conference League in Chelsea’s debut campaign in the competition.
The Blues are three from three in group stage games, doing so with star player Cole Palmer not even named in the squad for competition.
A number of players have looked to prove themselves to Maresca that they should be in line for more moments. Christopher Nkunku is reportedly frustrated that his goals are not seeing him earn opportunities in the Premier League.
The Italian has managed his large side well though, and chiefs at the club are very impressed with Maresca and the impact he has already made on the squad.

Chelsea have had 21 managers since Heidenheim boss Frank Schmidt was hired
It is clear that Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali and even Roman Abramovich have had high standards for what the manager needs to achieve, and that has been shown by how many have taken the role in recent years.
This compares incredibly to their opponents on Thursday, Heidenheim. Frank Schmidt has been in charge of the Bundesliga side since 2007.
According to the Bundesliga’s website, Maresca is the 21st coach to take the reins at the club in the time that Schmidt has been there.
Schmidt has already stated his side can beat Chelsea if they stick to their plan on Thursday night, with them unlikely to be intimidated by the biggest name in the competition after facing the likes of Bayern Munich.
Every Chelsea manager before Enzo Maresca since Schmidt took over at Heidenheim
Chelsea fans will look back fondly at a number of their managers of the past, with Jose Mourinho, who was hired in 2004, in charge when Schmidt took over.
| Chelsea managers | Games | Wins | Trophies |
| Enzo Maresca | 19 | 11 | 0 |
| Mauricio Pochettino | 51 | 26 | 0 |
| Frank Lampard (interim) | 11 | 1 | 0 |
| Bruno Saltor (interim) | 1 | 0 | 0 |
| Graham Potter | 31 | 12 | 0 |
| Thomas Tuchel | 100 | 60 | 3 |
| Frank Lampard | 84 | 44 | 0 |
| Maurizio Sarri | 63 | 39 | 1 |
| Antonio Conte | 106 | 69 | 2 |
| Guus Hiddink (interim) | 28 | 11 | 0 |
| Steve Holland (interim) | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| Jose Mourinho | 136 | 80 | 2 |
| Rafael Benitez | 28 | 28 | 1 |
| Roberto di Matteo | 42 | 24 | 2 |
| Andre Villas-Boas | 40 | 19 | 0 |
| Carlo Ancelotti | 109 | 67 | 3 |
| Guus Hiddink (interim) | 23 | 17 | 0 |
| Ray Wilkins | 1 | 1 | 0 |
| Luiz Felipe Scolari | 36 | 20 | 0 |
| Avram Grant | 54 | 36 | 0 |
| Jose Mourinho | 185 | 124 | 6 |
Perhaps surprisingly, Avram Grant has the highest win-rate of any permanent Chelsea manager in that time, taking Chelsea close to both a Premier League and Champions League trophy.
There is a lot of excitement over the future of the club under Maresca right now, and hopefully he can be the man to bring an end to end to the habit of manager’s being fired after not too long at the club.
