There is no chance of Cole Palmer leaving Chelsea any time soon following the attacker’s decision to sign a contract extension.
Cole Palmer‘s new deal runs all the way into 2033, when the Englishman will be 31. It means he is likely to spend all of his peak years at Chelsea.
That will come as a blow to a few clubs, who were reportedly looking at him before he put pen to paper on his new contract.
Former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy has questioned Palmer’s contract extension, but Chelsea supporters will be happy about it after his debut season at the club. The Englishman came up with 40 goal contributions in 45 appearances for the Blues during the 2023/24 campaign.

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich were all eyeing Cole Palmer
A season where Palmer managed to score 25 goals and provide 15 assists for Chelsea was never going to go unnoticed.
And it seemingly didn’t, with HITC claiming that the England international had caught the attention of Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich before he signed his contract extension at Chelsea.
Another campaign like the last one, and they may come knocking next summer. However, having tied him down until 2033, Chelsea will not have any reason to sell their star player.
Ally McCoist is backing Palmer to shine once again this term, something the Blues probably need to happen if they want to qualify for the Champions League.
Chelsea could still do business with big European club this summer amid interest in Raheem Sterling
While Chelsea will not be selling Palmer to any of the above teams, they could still end up doing a deal with one European heavyweight before the transfer window closes.
Juventus have made an enquiry about Raheem Sterling, and there could be an opportunity for him to leave following the arrival of Pedro Neto at Stamford Bridge.
If Enzo Maresca cannot guarantee the 29-year-old game time this season, which may be the case now that he has Neto, a move to the Allianz Stadium could be good for Sterling.
