Chelsea defender Malo Gusto says he has a really good relationship with Mauricio Pochettino.
Chelsea signed Malo Gusto from Lyon for £30.7m back in January when Graham Potter was still in charge of the club, but the right-back only arrived during the summer, linking up with Potter’s successor Mauricio Pochettino.
On the Argentine, the 20-year-old was quoted as saying by Sky Sports: “I think he knows me well. There is a good relationship with the manager. He’s someone who really loves football and loves the work. And I think that’s what he tries to pass down to us every day in training.
“And he gives us a lot of energy and confidence. He’s there to do great things with the club and we are there to follow him and fight on the pitch to give Chelsea victories. We are happy that the manager is there with us.”

Gusto has had to quickly come into Chelsea’s team following Reece James’ injury.
He has showed real promise going forward, setting up two goals in Chelsea’s only Premier League win so far this season, a 3-0 victory over Luton Town at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea needed Malo Gusto
Chelsea bringing in Gusto was a wise decision. As James has already showed this term, he is susceptible to injury.
Prior to Gusto’s arrival, the Blues did have Cesar Azpilicueta. However, the Spaniard is now 34 years of age and probably felt it was time for a new challenge.

Gusto is 14 years Azpilicueta’s junior, so you can see the thinking behind snapping him up and allowing the former Chelsea captain to join Atletico Madrid.
The France U21 international can do a job now for the Blues and in the future.
From what he has shown so far, it looks like James could have some serious competition for the right-back position at Stamford Bridge. And even if the 23-year-old can see him off, the fact that he does pick up injuries means Chelsea signing Gusto was a no-brainer.
When Gusto and James are both fit, it will be a good headache for Pochettino to have.
