Chelsea were able to beat Fulham 1-0 yesterday, but Steve Nicol still does not seem to be fully convinced by a couple of their players.
It was Chelsea‘s third Premier League win in a row, taking the Blues up to eighth in the table.
However, speaking on ESPN after the game, Steve Nicol shared his concerns over the team’s ability to score goals, highlighting Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo as issues.
It actually took Chelsea a penalty to beat Fulham, with Cole Palmer calmly dispatching from the spot.
Mauricio Pochettino praised both the 21-year-old and Raheem Sterling after the match for their roles in the Blues’ winner.
Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo will not score for Chelsea
Nicol cannot see Fernandez and Caicedo scoring any time soon for Chelsea.
Discussing the two after the Blues’ victory over Fulham, the Liverpool legend said: “There’s nothing from the middle of the park. Conor Gallagher I don’t think he has a Premier League goal this season.
“Enzo and Caicedo don’t look as though they’re going to be scoring any goals soon. I mean, it’s just a long list of where are the goals coming from.”

Not Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo’s job to score
You really cannot see the likes of Fernandez and Caicedo scoring too many goals this season, the former has netted twice in 18 league appearances, while the latter is yet to register at all.
However, they are midfielders and were never signed to do that. What Pochettino really needs is for his attackers, such as Palmer and Sterling, to be clinical.
They are the ones who are responsible for winning games for Chelsea. That being said, having spent so much money on Fernandez and Caicedo, it is only normal that some want more from the two South Americans.
