To say the Chelsea fanbase have been divided by the first few years under the new ownership would be an understatement.
Todd Boehly and co have made a number of controversial decisions since taking over the club, and are in the process of making another which will irritate some sections of supporters.
Conor Gallagher is on his way to Atletico Madrid, with some feeling as if he has been forced out off the back of him not agreeing to the club’s terms of a new contract.

Enzo Maresca is meanwhile preparing for Chelsea’s last pre-season fixture of the tour of the United States against Real Madrid this week.
He will be taking on former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, who has already said he is excited about Maresca in the job.

Ancelotti says Todd Boehly needs to give Chelsea project time
Now, Ancelotti has told Kieran Gill that he believes everything they have in place is very positive, although believes the new owners need to show some patience in order to see success.
He said: “It’s changed a lot. They have a good squad, good players, young. They have a young manager. They need to be a little patient, the owners.”
A number of head coaches have already come and gone since Boehly assumed the role of owner of the club.
Enzo Maresca handed long contract
Mauricio Pochettino got the Blues back into Europe with what was a relatively decent campaign last time out, however even he didn’t last more than a single season at Stamford Bridge.
Everyone surrounding the club will be hoping that this is the season where silverware finally returns to a side rich in it, with the UEFA Conference League providing a great opportunity for that.
Winning it will complete the set for Chelsea as far as European trophies go, and the long contract handed to Maresca suggests he is certainly going to be the man tasked with leading them there when the end of the season comes around.
