Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling will be the first person to admit that he did not have the best game against Leicester City yesterday.
While Raheem Sterling was able to set up Cole Palmer’s goal, the 29-year-old missed a penalty and one great opportunity from open play in the first half.
Chelsea were not made to pay for it, winning the match 4-2 in the end. However, Sterling still took to Instagram after the game to apologise.
In response to his apologetic post, Thiago Silva said: “We love you bro.”
Following his performance against Leicester, Sterling has come in for some strong criticism. Former Chelsea player Pat Nevin described his display as a real “stinker”.

Chelsea players have forgiven Raheem Sterling
From the response of Silva and others on Instagram, it is clear that the Stamford Bridge dressing room is not going to hold one bad game against Sterling.
Whether Chelsea supporters will be as forgiving remains to be seen, but the England international has had some good moments this season. They should not be too quick to forget that.
For example, he scored in both of the Blues’ games against Manchester City, who they take on in the FA Cup semi-finals.
His pace could come in handy on the counter-attack when the two sides meet at Wembley next month.
If Chelsea are to have any chance of winning that match, he will have to be more clinical, which means actually putting away any penalty he gets, though the expectation will now be for Palmer to return to spot-kick duty.
Sterling was not the only Chelsea player who had a game to forget yesterday, however. Axel Disasi scored one of the funniest own goals you will ever see, quickly being comforted by team-mate Robert Sanchez, who ran to the defender afterwards to give him a small kiss on the cheek.
