Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher are both in agreement with their predictions for Chelsea’s quarter-final tie against Real Madrid.
Chelsea play Spanish giants Real Madrid on Wednesday night in the first leg of a Champions League quarter-final tie. The second leg will take place just six days later at Stamford Bridge.
It’s pretty compelling that the Blues go into this European clash as strong underdogs.
Chelsea, who have Frank Lampard as caretaker manager, are all over the place this season in domestic games. However, it’s typical of the club to put a decent run together in the Champions League.
It was quite the performance to eliminate Borussia Dortmund in the previous round, but they’re now facing the current holders in their favourite competition.

While predicting the rest of the Champions League tournament, pundits Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards all agreed on the outcome of the Chelsea vs Madrid tie.
Carragher told CBS Sports: “Has to be Real Madrid because Todd Boehly hasn’t got a clue what he’s doing.”
Richards added: “It’s going to be tough, but I’m going to go with Real Madrid.”
Finally, Henry simply said: “Real Madrid.”
Incidentally, all three of them predict Manchester City will win the Champions League this season for the first time in their history.
Man City smashed Bayern Munich 3-0 last night in the first leg of their quarter-final tie, with the winners facing Chelsea or Madrid in the semis.

Chelsea have arrived in Spain with a 24-man squad to take on Madrid.
We’re delighted to see the likes of Thiago Silva, Mason Mount and N’Golo Kante included as part of the travelling party.
Will any of them start this evening’s match, though?
The Blues have so many superb individuals in their ranks, but they’ll need to play as a team and deliver a season-best performance to overcome Madrid in the quarters.
