Chelsea were well represented in the recent European Championships, with a number of their players making a real impact on the big stage.
Cole Palmer was forced to start every match on the bench, however certainly made the most of his minutes when he scored in the final for England.
The Three Lions fell just short though, with Conor Gallagher another Blue who was forced to accept second place.
Chelsea did have one of their representatives come out a winner though, with Marc Cucurella victorious with Spain.
Cucurella impressed a number of pundits with his performances, and it seems Phil Thompson is another who was really impressed with what he saw.

Thompson surprised by Marc Cucurella
He told TalkSPORT that he was actually surprised with how the Chelsea man led his own in the final in particular.
He said: “He did (surprise me), to be honest. I thought he could be a weak link, and I thought he was absolutely outstanding. You wonder where that performance had been for Chelsea, but I thought, ‘What a performance!’ He really played well.”
It looks as if the Spaniard has a real chance to start the season at Stamford Bridge when the Premier League comes back around with the visit of Manchester City.
Cucurella form worrying for Ben Chilwell
This could spell bad news for Ben Chilwell, who faces a battle now to get himself back amongst the starting side following another injury-hit campaign.
It remains to be seen if either player will be under any pressure from Renato Veiga, who has been spotted in training for the first time since joining the club.
It has been claimed that the current pre-season campaign will see Enzo Maresca get an opportunity to make a decision on whether he needs to be loaned out.
After a tough start to life at Chelsea for Cucurella though, he is looking as if he is playing the best football of his life right now and should be confident going into the future in West London.
