Brad Friedel has urged Tottenham to go and sign Christian Pulisic from Chelsea this summer.

Christian Pulisic, who’s entering the final year of his Chelsea contract, is linked with a potential move away from Stamford Bridge.

L’Equipe claimed last week that Lyon and Crystal Palace are two clubs in the race to sign Pulisic. They add that the Blues winger may be available for just €20million (£17million), too.

So, what does the future hold for the 24-year-old?

Friedel has suggested Pulisic as a potential target for Spurs.

He believes that the United States international could be a really good fit for Spurs, who go into the new season with Ange Postecoglou as their new head coach.

“Under certain managers I would have said no, this is nothing against Christian as of course Christian is an excellent player, but Postecoglou’s style, yeah!” Friedel told football.london.

“That is the type of player and winger Postecoglou would like. He would fit into his style and I think the Tottenham fans, other than his Chelsea ties as that would be another interesting one, they would love him. Maybe the Tottenham fans would like the fact he’s come over and with Mauricio [Pochettino] going to Chelsea that would lessen the blow a little bit.”

We don’t doubt that Pulisic is still a quality player, something he shows whenever he joins up with his national side. However, he desperately needs a change of scenery at club level.

The ‘talented’ forward could definitely go and thrive elsewhere, but we think a move abroad could be his best bet of recapturing top form.

If Pulisic does go this summer, he should reflect on a Chelsea career that has never really lifted off the ground like so many expected.

He’s got a Champions League medal to show for his time in west London, though. He’s still only 24 as well!
