Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella feels important again at Stamford Bridge.
That is according to a report from Sport.
It claims that Marc Cucurella held positives talks with Mauricio Pochettino at the start of the season after his failed move to Manchester United and is beginning to feel valued at Stamford Bridge now.

The left-back was on the periphery at the start of the campaign but has got quite a bit of game time of late, starting in Chelsea’s last three matches.
However, it will be interesting to see what happens when Pochettino has both Reece James and Malo Gusto available again, with Cucurella playing at right-back at the minute.
Marc Cucurella could be important for the rest of the season
The fact that James does pick up injuries means Pochettino may not have him for all of Chelsea’s remaining fixtures.
The same also goes for Ben Chilwell, who is currently out injured. When you consider that and things like suspension, something Gusto recently received, Cucurella could still have a big role to play this term.

If James and Chilwell can both stay fit, then perhaps not. But their recent injury records show that that is a huge if.
It could be wise, then, for Chelsea to keep hold of Cucurella, who was once described as a “tremendous player” by Brighton & Hove Albion owner Tony Bloom.
A lot could depend, though, on what the 25-year-old wants. If he wants guaranteed minutes and in his favoured position, then the Blues may have to let him go once the transfer window is open again.
