Chelsea youngsters Tyrique George and Kiano Dyer were both involved in first-team training this week.
The Blues uploaded yesterday via their official club app pictures from Wednesday’s training session at Cobham.
There were some interesting faces on display as part of Mauricio Pochettino’s main group, including Tyrique George and Kiano Dyer.
Neither of them are yet to make first-team debuts, but could they soon reach a landmark moment in their young careers?
In fairness, Pochettino’s still blooded a few young prospects from the academy at times during this challenging season at Stamford Bridge.

George, who’s London born, has been very impressive in Chelsea’s academy of late.
The 18-year-old fast winger has been free-scoring for the Blues Under-18s side this campaign. Also, he’s been getting minutes for the Under-21s team as well.
Speaking via Instagram last month, Chelsea first-team star Noni Madueke suggested that George does have a lot of potential and a big future ahead of him. Blues captain Reece James sent a message to George back in November via Instagram, too.
As for Dyer, the 17-year-old midfielder is already a regular starter in Chelsea’s Under-21 outfit.
We’d argue the Blues may need some fresh legs in the centre of the park, even if it’s a late cameo appearance off the bench. That’s because Pochettino is relying on the senior midfield trio of Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Conor Gallagher so much in recent months.

Let’s wait and see if Chelsea have another two talented prospects coming through the ranks.
With such a young average age in the Blues first-team camp this year, we’d guess it’s easier than normal for youngsters when they’re drafted in to mix with the seniors. Of course, there’s still the challenge of the step up in level in terms of technique and physicality.
We’ve seen the academy production line at Cobham continues to churn out these super youngsters, so it’s important whoever is in the role as first-team boss keeps a close eye on what’s happening below the first team in the academy.
