Chelsea have one player who’s been recorded as one of the quickest in the Premier League this season, but it’s not speedster Mykhailo Mudryk.

There’s a lot of fast individuals when you look around the Chelsea squad, especially in the forward areas of the pitch.

Mykhailo Mudyrk, 23, has earned the reputation as a rapid winger in recent years. The Ukraine international is lightning when he’s in full flow, but sometimes his mind can’t quite keep up with the rest of his body.

Journalist Simon Phillips recently claimed via Substack that Chelsea are actually planning to loan out Mudryk in January.

Pedro Neto the fastest Chelsea player

The Premier League’s official website has recorded the fastest players in the division so far from this 2024/25 season.

Chelsea’s Pedro Neto, who ranks eighth in the league, is the quickest at Stamford Bridge so far.

Remarkably, Tottenham centre-half Micky van de Ven is miles clear in the league this campaign with the top speed.

The best is yet to come from Pedro Neto

Chelsea made the very exciting signing of Neto from Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer for £54m (BBC). Eventually, we think that the 24-year-old winger can make that transfer fee seem like great value for money.

The Portugal international has had a steady start during his debut season with the Blues, scoring one goal and making one assist in eight appearances across all competitions.

We’re delighted to see the attacker’s fitness is sharp because he’s had injury problems on the past. Now, his challenge is to force his way into Chelsea’s best starting line-up, where he’s mostly competing with Noni Madueke for the right wing position.

Speaking via Sky Sports last month, Madueke praised Chelsea teammate Neto as “unbelievable” with his pace. It’s interesting that the pair are now in direct competition for a spot in XI.
