Journalist Nathan Gissing has now given an update for Chelsea fans on the injury suffered by Romeo Lavia in last night’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace.
He took to Twitter to state that the teenager had suffered a thigh problem in his debut for the club yesterday.
Lavia was used off the bench as the Blues chased what would turn out to be a winning goal in the second half against their London rivals.

Eventually, the winner was found by another substitute, with Noni Madueke perhaps easing the pressure that was certainly mounting on manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Nevertheless, three points has become too much of a rarity in recent months to be scoffed at by supporters, however it doesn’t seem as if too many nice things can come at once.
After Lavia was finally seen on the pitch in a Chelsea shirt, he may now be set for another spell on the sidelines following an issue he picked up in the game.

The manager came out after the game and admitted he was worried, however couldn’t go into any specifics on what the issue was that he had suffered.
Now, Gissing has updated Chelsea fans on what exactly happened to the Belgian last night.
He said: Understand Romeo Lavia, who made his Chelsea debut on Wednesday night, suffered a problem with his thigh in Chelsea’s win over Crystal Palace. Mauricio Pochettino also confirmed post-match.
The midfield position is one that is certainly feeling the heat as far as injuries and illnesses go right now.
Enzo Fernandez has been missing from the last two matchday squads, while yesterday saw Moises Caicedo’s first appearance since illness kept him on the bench.
Lesley Ugochukwu was also forced off with an injury on Christmas Eve too, leaving Pochettino no doubt scratching his head at what to do in there.
