Chelsea star Raheem Sterling can be “unplayable” when he’s in the right mood.
That is according to pundit Paul Merson.
Raheem Sterling will be hoping to kick on during his second season as a Chelsea player and have a key role in Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
Remarkably, at the age of 28, he’s now one of the most experienced players inside the dressing room at Stamford Bridge.

Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson has delivered high praise on Chelsea’s Sterling for his simply unbelievable performance before the international break. He said that the Blues winger proved in the 4-1 Premier League win against Burnley that he can be “unplayable” at times.
“Teams will not want to play them as on their day, they can beat anybody and when Raheem Sterling is playing like he did at Burnley, then he is unplayable,” Merson told Sky Sports.

Liverpool defender Joe Gomez described Sterling this week as one of his toughest ever opponents, as quoted by Total Media.
It’s just another reminder of how good Sterling can actually be.
Pochettino is working with a very young Blues squad which is based around potential and the future. Therefore, it’s vital that the few senior figures are operating at their best.
Sterling’s looked rejuvenated so far this season with the change of management, which makes his omission from Gareth Southgate’s England squad this month mind-blowing. Former England goalkeeper David Seaman recently expressed his confusion at the “strange” decision from Southgate to overlook Sterling during this international break (Seaman Says podcast).
Hopefully, Chelsea fans get to see a fully motivated Sterling back later this month when the Blues host Arsenal on their first game back.
