Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that club captain Reece James is approaching a return from injury.
He claimed in his pre-match press conference that the Englishman is about to join up with the squad again alongside Carney Chukwuemeka.
Many feared this season we were in for more of the same when it came to James, as reports surfaced that he had picked up another muscle injury to begin the season.

There was a real hope that these problems may have been behind him going into this season, especially after faith was put in him to be the club captain for this season.
Since then, the role has been taken by Ben Chilwell and Conor Gallagher at different stages of the campaign.
James however has seemed to already really impress the manager since he arrived in the summer. The Argentine has already described the 23-year-old as the ‘perfect’ player.
James nearly ready to return
Despite the impressive displays of Malo Gusto in place of the England international, the right-back is always a big miss whenever he is not fit.
Therefore, Chelsea fans will have been really pleased with the news that he is approaching a return, alongside another promising Blue.

He said: “He was training with Reece James. Chukwuemeka and James are very close to being with the team to start to train.”
Chukwuemeka had only just scored his first goal for the club against West Ham when he was forced off with what looked at the time like a serious injury.
His return will certainly be another positive at Stamford Bridge, with him actually enjoying a really promising opening couple of games before he fell.
