Understandably, Chelsea fans were not happy with their team’s performance against Manchester United last night.

The scoreline was close, with Chelsea losing 2-1, but Manchester United could have easily registered three or four more goals.

They had 28 shots in total, according to BBC Sport, while Bruno Fernandes missed a first-half penalty.

Overall, it was a really poor performance from Mauricio Pochettino‘s side, and the supporters who made the trip to Old Trafford let them know that, booing the players at the full-time whistle.

Things do not get any easier for Chelsea, with the Blues facing another tough away fixture against Everton on Sunday. Their recent record at Goodison Park is not a good one.

Chelsea fans right to be disappointed

You really cannot blame Chelsea supporters for venting their anger at the players yesterday.

It has not been a good season for the club, who currently sit in 10th, and they were extremely poor. To concede 28 shots against a United side who have not exactly been amazing this term is pathetic.

A lot of individuals did not turn up, with Levi Colwill one player who came in for criticism after the game.

The 20-year-old was at fault for United’s winning goal, failing to deal with Scott McTominay, whose header secured all three points for Erik ten Hag’s side.

A repeat of that performance against Everton on Sunday, and Chelsea will surely lose. Questions will start to be asked of Pochettino, who is having a disastrous debut campaign at Stamford Bridge. If things do not improve, he may not see it through.

So here we are again. Another season that Chelsea will probably have to write off. It is no surprise, then, that supporters are fuming right now and were not afraid to let their players know that at Old Trafford last night.
