Chelsea’s South American contingent are always ones to watch when the international break comes around.
Their two most expensive signings, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, jet off halfway around the world to take part in normally some very physically demanding games, and are often back late to Chelsea duty before their next Premier League games.
Fernandez endured a game of two halves for Argentina last night, although did provide the assist for their only goal in the 2-1 defeat to Paraguay.

Caicedo was given a rare break last night for Ecuador after picking up the amount of yellow cards that would see him suspended for a game.
Ecuadorian media love that Moises Caicedo attended game despite suspension
His nation seemed to not struggle too much without him last night. They won 4-0 against Bolivia, with youngster Kendry Paez making an impressive cameo off the bench.
Ecuadorian media were impressed though that Caicedo was in attendance for the big win in South America.
El Futbolero loved the midfielder’s commitment to the cause that he was in attendance and celebrating the goals scored by his international teammates last night.
The report goes on to state that he will be back in action for their next game against Colombia, with qualification for the upcoming World Cup a very real possibility now.
Romeo Lavia vs Enzo Fernandez to partner Caicedo at Chelsea
Caicedo’s performance levels this season have made him undroppable at Stamford Bridge, and now he is finally getting the praise he deserves from those outside of the club.
Micah Richards thinks Caicedo’s recent displays have reflected him gaining his confidence back, and although Chelsea fans will know this has been the case for some time now, will just be glad to see his impressive performances gaining acknowledgment.
Who plays alongside him at Stamford Bridge has seen plenty of conversation of late. Fernandez has dropped out of the starting side recently in favour of Romeo Lavia.
Many have believed this partnership has worked better. However, there are currently hopes that Lavia’s recent admission of picking up an injury does not see him missed a prolific period of time again.
