Reports have now shared what Christopher Nkunku has to do this week to be able to make his debut in Chelsea’s next Premier League game.
According to the Evening Standard, the Frenchman has four training sessions to prove his fitness in order to feature in the squad in some capacity for the trip up to Newcastle this weekend.
Nkunku is yet to feature this season for his new side after picking up an injury in the final pre-season game of the tour of the United States.

This clearly has had an effect on Mauricio Pochettino’s side, particularly in attack after the club made him their marquee addition up top.
After reports stated that the manager was not keen on bringing in Joao Felix on a permanent deal because of this, there was of course an expectation that the 26-year-old would play a key role.
Everyone therefore at the club will be delighted that the France international has returned to the grass alongside fellow summer addition Romeo Lavia.
What Nkunku must do to face Newcastle
The midfielder is also yet to make his debut for the club after suffering an injury swiftly after he decided to join Chelsea instead of rivals Liverpool.
It has been suggested that Nkunku in particular is really trying to convince people at the club that the return to the Premier League is when he will be able to make his debut.
Reports have now claimed that the forward has this week to prove his fitness to be involved against Newcastle on Saturday.
It would be recommended for the club to be cautious with the player’s return to fitness, given the fact that he has missed more than three months of the season already due to injury.
However, the busy festive period is a good time for him to return for Pochettino’s side.
