Chelsea supporters will be extremely excited for the long-awaited sight of one of the most promising young players in football to be part of their first team squad.

Estevao Willian can now be considered a Chelsea player after his Palmeiras side were knocked out of the Club World Cup at the quarter-final stage by the Blues, who went on to win the competition.

Enzo Maresca was impressed by Estevao’s performance against his side, with him having a very notable ongoing feud with Marc Cucurella during the game.

Cucurella praised Estevao after the match after dishing out some physical treatment on the pitch, perhaps showing the youngster what he can expect following his switch to Premier League football.

Estevao Willian could return for pre-season early at Chelsea

With no talk of a loan move away, the Brazilian is expected to immediately be available for Maresca when the 2025/26 campaign gets underway, and he will be keen to get up to speed with things quickly.

There may be an opportunity for this to happen in the form of pre-season. According to The Athletic, Estevao may return from his holidays before his new teammates due to his early exit from the Club World Cup.

The report goes on to say that Jamie Gittens could follow suit. He hardly featured for Borussia Dortmund in the United States before his move was made official.

The Chelsea players are set for a very brief holiday after a gruelling season that lasted the best part of 11 months.

Enzo Maresca’s attacking headache for next season

Despite the fact that Noni Madueke is set to move to Arsenal, Chelsea have already established some serious attacking options ahead of next season.

Pedro Neto was one of the top performers at the Club World Cup, and he will be competing with the youngster for minutes next season.

The addition of Gittens has been added to by Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, with the latter making a real mark in just his first three games for the club.

With Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez regularly chipping in with goals, finding the net should not be a problem for the Blues as they look to mount a serious title charge next season.
