You would be forgiven for thinking that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino does not have the best relationship with Noni Madueke.
Mauricio Pochettino was Tottenham Hotspur boss at the time of Noni Madueke‘s departure from the north London club, while the Argentine has barely played the winger this season, handing him just one start in the Premier League so far.
However, the two actually still look to be on good terms. They could be seen warmly embracing each other after Chelsea‘s 2-1 win against Crystal Palace last night, while Evening Standard journalist Nizaar Kinsella claimed that the manager gave his player a little bit of a pep talk following the full-time whistle.
While Madueke has not been starting under Pochettino and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, it does not look like there is any bad blood between the two.
There definitely will not be now, with it being Madueke’s penalty that gave Chelsea all three points yesterday, which Pochettino desperately needed after the 2-1 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mauricio Pochettino must keep hold of Noni Madueke
It would be silly for Pochettino to get rid of Madueke. If the 21-year-old wants regular starts, then it could make sense to loan him out.
However, Pochettino and the club could be making a big mistake if they decide to sell the wide man permanently.
Madueke has a lot of talent and having not even turned 22 yet, he obviously has time to develop into a better footballer.
The former PSV Eindhoven man can probably work on his end product, scoring just three goals for Chelsea so far, but he remains a dangerous and tricky winger thanks to his dribbling.
In the Blues’ squad last season, he had the highest average for dribbles per game in the Premier League (WhoScored).
