Journalist Dean Jones has now shared what he has been hearing about the future of Chelsea player Conor Gallagher.
He told GiveMeSport that people close to the player feel that the most likely outcome would be him staying at Stamford Bridge.
Gallagher has established himself as one of the key players in the Mauricio Pochettino system at Chelsea.

He has started every game in the Premier League other than the one where he was suspended, and has even captained the side on a fair few occasions now.
However, this has not put an end to speculation that the club may be looking to cash in on him when the transfer window opens again in a few days’ time.
They pushed hard for his sale over the summer, even when it was already becoming the clear the manager had taken a liking to him.
Gallagher confident he will stay at Chelsea
Jones has now claimed though that there is confidence in the player’s camp that he will remain at the club.
He said: “This is a situation that will really tell us whether the Chelsea ownership are learning and listening to the people around them that actually know about football – or whether they will just continue to do things their way.
I’ve spoken to people close to Gallagher and he wants to stay and the people around him continue to feel that is still the most likely outcome here. Pochettino also really likes him – so that’s another big tick to him staying.
“But then we get towards the other side of it, evaluating his value and FFP and whether the owners know better and will actually look to cash in.
“It is clear right now that they are tempted to do that. But who is going to genuinely pay £50million for him in January? It’s extremely difficult to see how a move at that price point opens up in the next month.”
Chelsea are obviously stacked with high-profile midfielders, however very few in world football do the job of Gallagher to that level.
It would seem a strange decision to sell him, especially midway through the season where he is playing arguably his best football.
