Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling was already a big fan of Cole Palmer when the pair were together at Manchester City.
That is according to the Daily Mail.
Chelsea confirmed via their official website on Friday morning that Cole Palmer, 21, has completed his move to Stamford Bridge.
The English winger has signed a seven-year contract with the Blues, which does include the option of a further year.

The Daily Mail reports on its live transfer blog (7:35am, 1 September) that Sterling was a “big advocate” of Palmer at the Etihad Stadium.
Chelsea attacker Sterling, 28, clearly thought Palmer was a top player at Man City.
Now, they’ll get the chance to play together again in a new-look side that is emerging under Mauricio Pochettino at Stamford Bridge.
Our early suggestion is that we could see Sterling on the left and Palmer on the right in the Blues XI, which would allow both forwards to cut infield on their preferred foot.

The Athletic recently claimed that club insiders at Man City never imagined them selling Palmer this summer. It certainly caught the Chelsea fanbase off guard, too.
Let’s hope the deadline day signing can settle quickly into a group where he already knows several faces from club and international football.
Incidentally, he’s taken the No 20 shirt.
