Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali were seen together watching the Blues’ 3-0 win against West Ham United.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali would have been pleased with what they saw, with Chelsea winning comfortably thanks to Nicolas Jackson and Cole Palmer.

It is what they need right now amid claims that there is a civil war currently going on in Chelsea’s boardroom.

It has been claimed that Boehly wants to buy Eghbali and Clearlake Capital’s shares in Chelsea, which is one thing that seems to be causing tension at the club at present.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali trying to remain professional

On Substack, journalist Simon Phillips has claimed that Chelsea are not quite at civil war level yet.

However, according to Phillips, things are still not perfect at Stamford Bridge, though Boehly and Eghbali both want to move forward for now.

On the two Chelsea owners, Phillips said: “Boehly and Eghbali were together at the game yesterday [Saturday] and witnessed a very good away win against West Ham. So is it all roses and sunshine again?

“No, not really. However, sources have said that both sides have agreed to move forward for now so as not to disrupt the club and the performances on the pitch, they wanted to show a bit of solidarity, for now at least.”

Chelsea turmoil not impacting performances

Since it emerged that there had been a break down in relationship between Boehly and Eghbali, Chelsea have beaten Bournemouth 1-0 and West Ham 3-0.

Simply put, Enzo Maresca and his men do not look distracted at all, and it has to stay that way.

They have made a good start to the season, taking 10 points from their first five games. It leaves them in fifth, which is excellent considering some of the other positions that the Blues have been in over the last couple of campaigns.

Only Manchester City have scored more goals than them, so not only are Chelsea winning, but they are also attacking well.

In fact, Chelsea now have one of the best attacks in the world, Joe Cole recently suggested.

Whatever happens at boardroom level, they cannot afford to let it put this good start to the season to waste. There is really something for Chelsea to build on here; supporters now have to pray that Boehly and Eghbali do not ruin things.
