Chelsea made sure they spent big money over the summer in order to give the appropriate backing to their new manager replacing Mauricio Pochettino.

Signings were made to bring improvement to multiple positions on the pitch for Enzo Maresca to get the best out of.

The addition of wingers Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho has been key for them being able to setup differently depending on the opponent they are facing.

Maresca has taking a liking to Sancho already, however will no doubt soon be tasked with getting the best out of some of the players the club have signed with an eye to the future.

The likes of Estevao Willian and Kendry Paez are expected to make an impact on the first team as soon as next season, and Chelsea are extremely excited about their prospects.

It looks as if the recruitment staff at Stamford Bridge are already looking to pivot in a new direction.

According to Mail Online, the Blues are going to look to tap into all corners of the globe, and be clued up on who the top youngsters in world football are, mentioning specifically players in Africa.

The report goes on to say that Maresca was spotted at the meeting, believed to have happened earlier in November.

Chelsea handed a trial earlier this year to Pape Daouda Diong, with him eventually signing a long-term deal with Strasbourg, who are also owned by the same owners as the Blues.
