Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s Clearlake Capital purchased Chelsea back in 2022 after Roman Abramovich was forced to sell the club.
Two years on, and there already appears to be issues between Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.
In fact, it has been claimed that Boehly and Eghbali’s relationship is starting to break down. It has not been easy for the Chelsea co-owners since they took over the club.
In their first full season in charge, the Blues finished 12th in the Premier League before coming sixth last term.

Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali’s relationship at Chelsea
Chelsea’s struggles, then, may be one thing that is causing disagreements between Boehly and Eghbali, if they are indeed happening.
Whatever the issue is, journalist Rahman Osman has claimed that the deterioration of their relationship has been happening behind the scenes for a while now.
Speaking about the matter on X, Osman said: “This Eghbali and Boehly thing has been boiling behind the scenes for a while.”
If it is a choice between Boehly and Eghbali, Chelsea fans want Boehly to stay at the club.
What next for Chelsea under Clearlake Capital?
Clearlake could look to increase their shares by buying Boehly’s, which may be for the best if the above continues.
Everyone needs to be pulling in the same direction if Chelsea are to return to the top.
There has been a lot of chaos at the club this summer and since Boehly and Clearlake took over in general. What is happening now is only going to add to that.
It is not helpful amid Chelsea’s struggles on the pitch. Enzo Maresca‘s job is not going to get any easier by the looks of it with everything that is happening upstairs.
He has had a very mixed start to life as Chelsea manager, with his side losing one Premier League game, winning one and drawing the other that they played against Crystal Palace, which took place just before the international break.
