Chelsea’s Romeo Lavia is a youngster with so much talent and potential, but it’s been another frustrating start for him this campaign.
Romeo Lavia, 20, made just one single appearance last year during his debut season as a Chelsea player.
The Belgian midfielder, who had a successful pre-season in the summer, played in the opening two matches of this term. In fact, Gary Neville raved about Lavia’s performance against Manchester City in Chelsea’s first Premier League game.
Unfortunately, he’s been absent with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.
The Telegraph reported earlier this month that Lavia was aiming to make his comeback against Bournemouth this Saturday. Blues supporters will need to be a little bit more patient with him, though.

When Romeo Lavia is available again
Respected journalist Simon Phillips has claimed via his Substack on Thursday that Lavia should be back available for Chelsea next week.
He’s explained that the defensive midfielder is expected to be absent for Saturday night’s trip to Bournemouth in the Premier League. However, the player should be back training ‘soon’ with a view to being available next week.

Romeo Lavia will give Enzo Maresca serious headache
When fit, Lavia has all the tools to make himself a key player in Chelsea’s starting line-up. He’s the perfect profile to dictate the team’s play from the deeper No.6 position.
The former Southampton star needs to get over these worrying injury trends, though.
As for Blues head coach Enzo Maresca, he’s going to have some big selection headaches if he can get a full and healthy squad. In particular, the midfield area is looking very interesting when you weigh up all the options.
Is there a way that the midfield trio of Lavia, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo can all function well in the same XI?
