Reports have claimed that Chelsea are hopeful that Reece James’ injury will not keep him out for as long as first feared.
According to the Evening Standard, Mauricio Pochettino and his side are hopeful he may be ready to return on September 17 for the Premier League match with Bournemouth.
After looking a real threat in the opening game of the season against Liverpool, it was more familiar news surrounding James a few days later.

It was reported that he had suffered a fresh hamstring injury, and he could be out for a while to come.
Many supporters will have been praying that his injury concerns were a thing of the past after his last two seasons have been heavily impacted by recurring issues.
However, there was a belief that things may be set to get better when he was named the new club captain. It is unlikely that Pochettino will have wanted his skipper to be on the treatment table for half the season.
Reece James injury return date
Ben Chilwell has been doing a fine job as deputy since, however the Blues could be set for the boost of James returning soon.
It has been claimed that there is optimism he will be fit when Chelsea travel to the South Coast to face Bournemouth on September 17.

If this is the case, it means that he will only be missing one more Premier League game, due to the upcoming international break.
Despite his absence obviously being key, it has not been felt as hard as it may have done due to the impressive nature of Malo Gusto.
The Frenchman picked up two assists in Friday night’s win over Luton, and will for sure start again against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
