Reports have claimed those at Chelsea have a distinct view on which manager they were better under out of Mauricio Pochettino and his permanent predecessor.
According to The Independent, the Blues still believe that they have made positive steps this season compared to when they were being led by Graham Potter.
Pressure has begun to rise on Pochettino as Chelsea have continued to linger in mid-table for the entire campaign so far.

Their best chance at silverware has fallen in their laps this season with an EFL Cup semi-final against lower league opposition in Middlesbrough.
However, they have now made the task of getting to the final more difficult for themselves by having to overturn a one-goal deficit in the second leg in a couple of weeks’ time.
If that does not happen, it would be difficult to believe there were not some doubts at the club over Pochettino’s status as the man to lead this side into the future.
Chelsea more positive about Pochettino than Potter
However, it has been claimed that there is an awareness at the club that they have taken steps in the right direction when taking into account where they were 12 months ago.
Potter was hardly blessed with cup draws during his brief time here. He drew Manchester City away in the first round of both domestic cup competitions.
However, it is in the Premier League where the Blues really failed to impress under the Englishmen, and where many are hoping to see progress made this season.
A lot of the good things that have come since Pochettino entered the fray have been thanks to Cole Palmer.
The former Manchester City man has starred since his deadline day move over the summer, and it doesn’t bare thinking about exactly where they’d be this season without him at the club.
