Fernandez is currently representing Argentina at the World Cup, and likely trying not to focus on the precarious position his club career sits in.

Xabi Alonso’s stance on Enzo Fernandez
Chelsea are looking to back new manager Xabi Alonso this summer, and have already been doing so with the deal confirmed for Marco Palestra.
Before the season ended, it was reported that Alonso wanted to keep Fernandez, although was aware that he had his heart set on the move to Spain.
The boss is already looking for solutions for if he does depart, including making Reece James a regular in the heart of midfield.
