It has been reported in recent ways that one of Chelsea’s top first team players looks set to be on the move away from the club in the coming days.
Conor Gallagher has always been earmarked as a player who was available for the right price this summer, given he was entering the last year of his contract.
Atletico Madrid have agreed a fee to sign Gallagher, with him set to travel out to Spain to finalise his deal.

Gallagher to Atletico Madrid could still fall through
A new midfielder is seemingly not on the agenda at Stamford Bridge after the signing earlier this summer of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
However, it has now been claimed that there is still a chance Gallagher’s move to La Liga does not go through.
According to The Athletic, Atletico are in advanced talks to sign Javi Guerra, a central midfielder from Valencia.
The report goes on to say that they have not yet guaranteed that both signings will be made this summer, meaning there is still a possibility for either to fall through.
Gallagher told he wont be first team at Chelsea
Even if the midfielder is not headed to Spain though, it seems as if his future does not exist at Stamford Bridge.
Gallagher has been told his future is not with the first team if he doesn’t sign a new contract with the club, and even if he did there are doubts about how he would do in a side who are looking to control possession this season.
Maresca has already put plenty of praise on Moises Caicedo despite him only seeing him in action for 45 minutes during pre-season.
With Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Dewsbury-Hall also competing for minutes, opportunities for the England international look incredibly scarce anyway.
It is likely a side like Tottenham return to the potential transfer hoping for a cut-price deal if the move to Atletico falls through for Gallagher.
