One Chelsea player has now made a promise that he will return to his old form in the near future.
Moises Caicedo told journalist Jaime Macias that he is calm about what is occurring despite admitting that he has not been at his best so far.
It was always going to be near enough impossible for Caicedo to live up to the hype after being signed for a club record fee over the summer.
The Blues ended up being forced to pay this fee though in order to stop him moving to Liverpool, with the player making it clear that he preferred a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Ecuador international has begun to form a partnership in the middle of the park with Enzo Fernandez, however many have expected more from the duo based on how much they cost the club.
This is, despite both of them being only 22 years of age, and still showing already the promise to be two of the better midfielders in the world.
Caicedo promises return to form
Caicedo has now claimed that he is not concerned by his dip in form, and expects to return to his best at Stamford Bridge soon.
He said: “The old Moises will be back and will continue to triumph and give a lot of joy to Chelsea.
“I’m calm because I knew moments like this would come and I need to remain mentally strong.”
The midfielder has the chance to rectify his mediocre start to life at Chelsea from Saturday, when the blues are back in action in the Premier League.
They will face Sheffield United, with a win imperative in order to keep pressure off manager, Mauricio Pochettino.
