TalkSPORT pundit Andy Jacobs has just made a huge dig at Chelsea for a piece of transfer business they conducted last year.
It’s a fair to say the Blues ownership has received plenty of criticism so far during its tenure at Stamford Bridge, with a lot of that coming because of the club’s strategy in the transfer market.
Mauricio Pochettino is now working with a squad that includes so many exciting youngsters stacked with potential, but that inexperience has been noticeable throughout another disappointing season so far.
You can’t deny the success of Chelsea signings such as Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto. However, the sheer volume of deals under these owners means the bad still outweighs the good in our eyes.

Moises Caicedo transfer
Moises Caicedo is the most expensive of the bunch when you look at Chelsea’s recruitment, so he’s rightly been under the spotlight during this debut season in west London.
The 22-year-old midfielder has been a nailed-on starter in the centre of the park, working in tandem with Enzo Fernandez.
Caicedo’s a busy defensive midfielder who’s shown flashes of his Brighton form. However, we’re yet to really see him totally win everyone over.
FotMob data has ranked Chelsea’s best performers in the Premier League this season, but Moises Caicedo didn’t make the top five.
Chelsea’s league match this evening at home to Manchester United is the type of occasion we want to see the Ecuador international dominating the middle of the pitch.
Moises Caicedo cost £65m too much
TalkSPORT’s Andy Jacobs, who supports Chelsea, is furious this week when discussing some of the transfers from the Blues. In particular, he’s still shocked by the Caicedo deal last summer.
Chelsea paid Brighton a British-record fee of £115 million to sign Caicedo (Sky Sports). Apparently, the Blues paid £65m too much!
“Caicedo was massive. £65 million too much without a doubt… He’s a good player. He’s not £115 million worth of player. No central defensive midfielder is worth that sort of money,” Jacobs told talkSPORT (2:53pm, 3 April).
