Levi Colwill has got a lot of Chelsea fans talking after his performance for England on Saturday.

While his natural position is centre-back, he can operate as a left-back, and Colwill actually impressed the English media with his performance as one.
As well as the English media, Chelsea supporters also seemed to be impressed with the 21-year-old’s display.

Chelsea fans were quick to take to social media to laud Colwill after his role in England’s win against Heimir Hallgrimsson’s men.
Speaking about Colwill’s performance on X, one Chelsea supporter said: “England don’t have a better centre back in their ranks, he’s the best defender in the country. Should be the heart of the defence.”

And finally, one Chelsea fan said: “Levi Colwill is without doubt the best centre back itw.”
Colwill recently praised Wesley Fofana, with the Frenchman being the man who has partnered him in central defence so far this season.
You would expect Enzo Maresca to continue using Colwill there. But the England international has quickly reminded everyone that he is also capable of doing a job at left-back.
Levi Colwill solid for England
Defensively, Colwill was very good in the Three Lions’ victory against the Republic of Ireland.
According to WhoScored, the Chelsea star made three tackles on the day. No player managed to record more than him, with Declan Rice also registering three.
Colwill also won three aerial duels, the third most in the game. All in all, it was a good day out for the defender.
Of course, when Chelsea return to Premier League action, Colwill is going to face much harder tests.
The Blues travel to Bournemouth after the international break before taking on West Ham United at the London Stadium. They then welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Stamford Bridge. These are games where Colwill will truly be tested.
