According to French outlet L’Equipe, Chelsea currently have 38 players under contract, giving them the largest squad in the Premier League.
The club will only be able to register 25 players for the Premier League this season, meaning that some players will either have to leave or play only in cup games.
Several players are facing uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea navigate their 25-man Premier League squad limit.
Returning loanees like Axel Disasi and David Datro Fofana are expected to be moved on permanently, while backup goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has reportedly requested a departure.
Defenders like Benoit Badiashile, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Trevoh Chalobah could all be sacrificed in a defensive overhaul. Meanwhile, young attackers such as Liam Delap, Marc Guiu, Deivid Washington and Nicolas Jackson even risk being sold, depending on how pre-season goes.
