Chelsea have reportedly drawn up an exclusive list of untouchables in the squad that Xabi Alonso is set to inherit, with two big omissions.
Following an incredibly underwhelming campaign that yielded very few individual standouts, sweeping changes are locked in at Chelsea this summer.
Several high-profile names have already been heavily linked with a move away from West London, though that’s now all down to the decisions of the Blues. Enzo Fernandez has attracted serious interest from Real Madrid and Manchester City and Marc Cucurella has expressed his desire to leave.
Additionally, peripheral figures like goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and returning loanee Axel Disasi are destined for the exit door as Chelsea aggressively balances the books.

Chelsea vow not to sell seven players this summer
It’s being reported by The Athletic that Chelsea have seven untouchables ahead of Xabi Alonso‘s arrival, with a couple of additions from last season.
The list of untouchables in the squad includes Reece James, Cole Palmer, Moises Caicedo, Levi Colwill, Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro and Josh Acheampong.
The absence from this list of two of the most senior members of the squad in Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella, shows the direction their summers may be heading in.
Chelsea have high hopes for Josh Acheampong under Xabi Alonso…
Chelsea’s untouchables under Liam Rosenior
The untouchables list at Chelsea only had three players on it last season, which were Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo, but it’s clear the Blues now have a spine they want to keep at all costs.
Fast forward to this summer, and the landscape has completely shifted under Xabi Alonso.
Palmer and Caicedo understandably remain locked in, but Enzo’s willingness to leave has seen him stripped of that status.
In a team that lacks leadership, Reece James and Levi Colwill have proved invaluable. While exciting prospects like Josh Acheampong and Esteveo Willian represent the future of the club.
