Chelsea stars Moises Caicedo and Nicolas Jackson have both reacted to the news that their agent, Ali Barat, has won the best agent award for 2023.
They both told TuttoMercatoWeb they were proud of what he achieved just months after he helped them secure moves to Stamford Bridge.
Barat was at the centre of one of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer as Caicedo plotted his next move away from Brighton.
Chelsea were favourites for a long time, however it was Liverpool who agreed a deal with the Seagulls first.
However, the 21-year-old rejected a chance to move to Anfield, instead standing firm in his intention to move to West London.
He became a club-record signing in the summer, after the Blues had already added Jackson in another busy window.
Caicedo and Jackson praise agent
The duo have now been full of praise for what Barat has just achieved.
Caicedo said: “Congrats on this prestigious award. You deserve it for all the work you did in 2023 to bring me to Chelsea, making one of my childhood dreams come true. Now it’s my turn to make history in this club. I love you.”
Meanwhile, Jackson added: “I’m happy that you won the award. From the first moment we met I felt a great connection between us and I’m at Chelsea today because of your work. Enjoy these wonderful moments.”
The duo have certainly had their moments since making the move over the summer, however supporters can’t help but feel as if there is more to come from both of them.
Sunday’s win over Brighton was a great indicator of that, with Jackson playing his part in the second goal and Caicedo help run a midfield who played more than half the game with 10 men.
