A month ago, we checked in on the progress of Tiemoue Bakayoko who is on loan at AC Milan. His manager, Gennaro Gattuso, was frustrated with his early performances. https://www.thechelseachronicle.com/player-profile/chelsea-loan-watch-tiemoue-bakayoko/
Since then, things have gone from bad to worse for the Frenchman, who was named in the European team of the year for 2016/17.

Milan continue to be so unimpressed with the midfielder that they are setting an ultimatum. He has six to eight games to improve his performances. If he fails to do so, the Rossoneri will send him back to Chelsea.
This would be quite the blow for the 24-year-old’s already fragile confidence. Milan paid $5 million to simply take him on loan for two seasons. To be sent back after only a couple of months would be highly embarrassing for Bakayoko.

The midfielder has only been selected for four matches for a Milan team that is struggling in tenth place in Serie A. He is yet to start a match. His two Europa League starts have also been unimpressive.
Last week, all that Gattuso had to say about Bakayoko was this; “Bakayoko needs to be helped. He is struggling. He has been here for two months but the tactics haven’t been drilled into his head”.

The Milan legend is not ready to give up on the Frenchman just yet. However, he does not have long to show his worth.
