Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has expressed his gratitude towards the fans for their support after Tuesday’s 3-1 defeat to Arsenal.
It was an overall poor performance from Chelsea, who conceded three goals in the space of just over half an hour at the start of the game.
But if any Chelsea player deserved any credit for their performance, it was Madueke.
The right winger, who made his first start for the club since February, was one of the two Chelsea players who showed any commitment, according to Frank Lebeouf.

The former PSV Eindhoven man scored Chelsea’s only goal against Arsenal — and in the last three games — in the second half.
He also put in a good shift defensively, making three interceptions and one tackle in the game.
It is very unfortunate that his effort proved not enough to secure a result.
Still, Madueke felt proud to be back on the pitch again.
“Immensely proud everytime I look down at the crest on my chest,” the winger wrote on Instagram.
“We appreciate the support from you guys even in the most frustrating of times.
“We will rise with Godspeed.”
Blues caretaker manager Frank Lampard was full of praise for Madueke after the game and suggested that he will be given “more opportunities” going forward.
This would please many Chelsea fans who had called for the winger to be played more regularly.
While it seems unlikely that Raheem Sterling, who is among the club’s highest-paid players, will continue to sit on the bench, Madueke and Mykhailo Mudryk showed that they deserve to retain their spot in the team for the next game, at the very least.
